Suncheon rice 'Nanumuri' wins 'Excellence Award' for top 10 high-quality rice brands in Jeonnam.

Suncheon City (Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu) announced that the representative rice brand of Suncheon, 'Nanuuori,' won the 'Encouragement Award' at the 2025 Jeonnam Top 10 High-Quality Rice Brand Awards. The awards ceremony was held on the 30th at the Jeonnam Provincial Office's Wangin Hall, with the attendance of around 100 people including the Jeonnam Governor, city and county officials, and agricultural cooperative officials. The event consisted of the awarding ceremony for rice brands recognized for their high quality by the selection agency of the top 10 brands, followed by a commemorative performance. The evaluation for 'Jeonnam Top 10 High-Quality Rice Brands' has been conducted annually since 2003 by the Agricultural Product Quality Management Institute, Jeonnam Agricultural Technology Institute, Korea Food Research Institute, and other organizations.
