Phú Thọ: Removing obstacles to achieve the OCOP product development target by 2026

The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program has created a significant driving force for the rural economy, but there are still limitations. Phu Tho Province has issued Official Dispatch No. 18019/UBND-NN10.

Gaps in OCOP Development Recently, the implementation of the OCOP program in Phu Tho province has achieved many positive results. Localities have known how to exploit regional advantages, creating quality products, producing in a concentrated commercial manner linked to consumption connections and tourism development. As a result, the income of rural residents has gradually increased. At the same time, the organizational capacity of cooperatives, small and medium-sized enterprises, and craft villages has shown clear improvements. However, when looking at the overall picture, the development of OCOP products still faces concerning limitations. As of now, only 61 out of 148 communes and wards in Phu Tho have issued development plans for OCOP products. The number of recognized or re-recognized products is modest, totaling only 15 products.
