REPUBLICA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) has designated Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan, as a model for the implementation of modern technology in creating new rice fields for the people. This program is expected to sustainably increase agricultural productivity. Kementan, together with the Tanah Laut Regency Government, has launched the People's Rice Field Printing (CSR) program in Ujung Village, Bati-bati District, as a model for utilizing modern technology to significantly boost agricultural yields. "This is a role model carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture in modern rice field creation," said Kalsel Food Self-Sufficiency Program Officer Mulyono in Tanah Laut, Tuesday (13/8/2025). The program includes the opening of 4,000 hectares of new land, with an initial phase of 359 hectares planted with rice using drones.
