The wheat and lavender harvest campaign in the Dobrich region has concluded, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food cited by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency. The wheat harvest amounted to 847,443 tons. The average yield for the region is 652.9 kilograms per hectare, compared to 669 kilograms last year. The highest yield per hectare was recorded by farmers in Shabla, where the average yield was 670.3 kilograms, while the lowest was in Tervel municipality at 550 kilograms per hectare. The area planted with wheat in the Dobrich region this season was 1,297,949 hectares, which is about 93,000 hectares more than the previous season.
