The garden strawberry continues to become cheaper.

The establishment of warm and sunny weather in Ukraine is stimulating the active ripening of garden strawberries in local farms. According to analysts from the EastFruit project, this has resulted in a rapid increase in the supply of strawberries on the market, which directly provoked a sharp decrease in ex-factory prices in this segment. If last week the average wholesale prices for garden strawberries in Ukraine were maintained at no less than 100–190 UAH/kg (2.23–4.24 USD/kg), this week they have started to decrease more significantly. The most noticeable drop in value has been recorded in the southern and central regions of the country. Currently, Ukrainian producers are offering garden strawberries for sale at a price of 80–170 UAH/kg (which is equivalent to 1.78–3.79 USD/kg). This is on average 15% cheaper than a week earlier.
