The European project VAX4ASF (New Technologies for African Swine Fever Vaccines), coordinated by the biopharmaceutical company Hipra and which also includes the participation of leading Spanish entities such as the Severo Ochoa Center for Molecular Biology (CBMSO-CSIC), Sabiotec, ANPROGAPOR, Interporc, and Zabala Innovation, has presented new scientific advances that contribute to the development of vaccines against African swine fever (ASF). These results were announced during the second General Assembly of the consortium, which took place on May 5 and 6, 2026, in Gödöll?, Hungary. The meeting, organized by the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Sciences (MATE), brought together scientists, industry experts, and representatives from various entities in Europe and Africa that are part of the project to review the advances and coordinate the next phase of research.
