South Jeolla Province Eases Direct Payment Standards for Strategic Crops in Agricultural Disaster Areas During Summer

Jeollanam-do Province has decided to ease the payment conditions for strategic crop direct subsidies to minimize difficulties for farmers growing crops such as soybean and corn that have been damaged by summer agricultural disasters. While strategic crop direct subsidies are typically paid only after meeting all implementation conditions from planting to cultivation and harvesting, the province has now taken measures to relax these conditions for summer strategic crop farmers who suffered damage from recent heavy rains. In cases where farmers continue crop cultivation through replanting or supplementary planting, direct subsidies will be paid even if the crop is not in a normal cultivation state, and for situations where planting is impossible, crop conversion occurs, or farmland is lost, the decision will be made by the relevant city or county.
