Russian fishermen's catch approaches 4 million tons

The article reports on the significant increase in fish catch in the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ) of Russia in various basins, including the Far Eastern Basin, North Basin, West Basin, and the Azov-Black Sea basin, as well as in convention areas and the open part of the World Ocean. The catch includes various species such as Mintai, cod, herring, flounder, sardines, haddock, myva, sprats, Baltic herring, Hamsa, Kilki, and particulate species of fish. The Russian fleet mined a total of 394,193 thousand. tons. The products from fresh catches are prioritized for the domestic market.

Far Eastern Basin: more than 3 million tons Mintai – more than 1.7 million tons (+ 5.3 thousand tons to the level of 2023); cod – 93.2 thousand. tons; herring – 332 thousand. tons (+ 48.1 thousand tons to the level of 2023); flounder – 56.1 thousand. tons; sardines - 304 thousand. tons in the EEZ of Russia (+ 62.6 thousand tons to the level of 2023) North Basin: 372.4 thousand. tons Cod – 193.3 thousand. tons; haddock – 47 thousand. tons; myva – 51.7 thousand. tons (+ 28.6 thousand tons to the level of 2023). West Basin: 56.8 thousand. tons Sprats – 30.6 thousand. tons; Baltic herring – 19 thousand. tons.
