Record production of rice for the 2024/2025 season exceeds 1.4 million tons

The production of rice for the 2024/2025 campaign is between 1.4 million and 1,450,000 tons, which means a record volume, over an area that is around 210,000 to 220,000 hectares, mentioned in Nación Productiva, Agricultural Engineer Reinerio Franco, vice president of the Paraguayan Federation of Rice Producers (Feparroz) and director of Agriplus S.A. He emphasized that it was a year of very good production, but with quality affected by climatic conditions, as there was 5% more grain breakage than the previous harvest.
