The southern hemisphere kiwi season is in full swing, with New Zealand and Chile being the primary suppliers. Chile's kiwi crop is healthy and there has been a 7% increase in production compared to last year. Yellow kiwi varieties are also gaining popularity. "For our Canadian customers, we rely primarily on Chile," says Marcelo Rusca of Go Fresh, a division of Gambles Group of Companies. "When it comes to the green Hayward variety, we have good partnerships with producers in Chile and have access to considerable volume."
