Farmers in Tatarstan have begun preparing feed.

Perennial grasses in the republic have been mown over an area of 2.7 thousand hectares. According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan as of May 28, 2,700 hectares of perennial grasses have been mown in the region. Of this, 1,800 hectares were for silage, and 900 hectares for hay. High moisture levels and favorable weather conditions contribute to the active growth of the grass cover. This year, in order to provide feed for livestock, it is planned to prepare 3,659 thousand tons of silage, 3,202 thousand tons of silage, and 320 thousand tons of hay. As of the reporting date, 22.6 thousand tons of silage have been harvested.
