DECLARATION of Protection of the Geographical Indication "Cacao de la Región Chontalpa de Tabasco".

Based on Articles 1, 5(I), 6, 8, 265, 266, 267, and 288 of the Federal Law on the Protection of Industrial Property, in compliance with the First and Fifth Resolutions of the official letter number DG/SDSLRIG.2026.044 dated April 8, 2026, by which the Geographical Indication "Cacao de la Región Chontalpa de Tabasco" is granted the protection provided for in the Federal Law on the Protection of Industrial Property, the publication of the following is made: DECLARATION OF PROTECTION OF THE GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATION "CACAO DE LA REGIÓN CHONTALPA DE TABASCO" FIRST.- It is declared as a Protected Geographical Indication "Cacao de la Región Chontalpa de Tabasco", to identify the cacao of the species Theobroma cacao L. cultivated in the municipalities of Cárdenas, Comalcalco, Cunduacán, Huimanguillo, Paraíso, and Jalpa de Méndez.
