Due to Russian strikes on the Black Sea ports, Ukraine's agricultural exports in the 2026-2027 marketing season may decrease by 54% — to approximately 29.6 million tons. The Danube route is also operating with restrictions — hindered by drought and the record low water level in the river. "Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture had forecast exports at 64.4 million tons. Last year, the agricultural sector provided more than half of Ukraine's export revenue.
